Abhyanga (Massage)

Ayurveda abhyanga is a process of application of oil to the body. It is an essential tool in healing your life. Ayurveda recommends different forms of abhyangas for different people.The form of massage utilized is based upon a person’s constitution (prakruti) and its imbalances (vikruti).

This abhyanga helps for deep feeling of warmth and harmony with smooth relaxing massage.  It revitalizes the body organs and slows down the decay due to aging. It also improves circulation in the body.

Ayurveda says that imbalanced doshas create waste matter. This waste matter is called Ama in Ayurveda. Abhyanga helps open all channels or Srotas (In Ayurveda, channels called as Srotas) in the body. It helps to detoxify the bodily impurities. It also improves lymphatic system, circulation supplying fresh oxygen to body tissues and bringing vitality and vigor. This can assist the elimination of body toxinsS, speed healing after injury, and enhance recovery from disease.

Synchronized Abhyanga is a deep tissue massage with co-ordination of two therapists. It aims to release bodily stress and expel the toxins out from the body. This abhyanga brings the cleansing effect to the body.

It is a scrubbing massage done with co-ordination of two therapists. The herbal powder and oil is used. This abhyanga helps in releasing your bodily stress and toning the skin.

A gentle and relaxing Facial Abhyanga helps for better skin texture and glowing face. Different Ayurveda facial oil with certain herbs cooked into them allows better penetration into the skin promoting softness and luster. It helps in deep and better sleep, relieving your stress and bringing youthfulness.

Stress and Tension are the major issues of today’s busy world. The head, face, shoulders and neck are the parts most vulnerable to stress. Ayurveda Shiro Abhyanga focuses to such parts and brings calmness and relaxation. It also relaxes and balances the nervous system. It promotes high level of alertness and concentration. It improves headache and brings deep and better sleep.

Spine is the foundation where the Chakras-life force energy centers exist. Spine abhyanga helps improve the flow of energy and improves the mobility of spine. It increases the blood flow and brings nutrition to muscles and tissues. This abhyanga brings comfort to stressed and fatigued back.

Foot is an important center of vitality. Foot integrates well with earthly structures and energy systems. It draws energy form earth into our chakra system. Foot abhyanga helps to stimulate these energy points. It helps to release the stress, energize and rejuvenate the whole body.
