WHAT DOES THE FIRST AUTHENTIC CLASSICAL PANCHAKARMA MEAN?

As the Panchakarma treatment is the heart of Ayurveda, it works uniquely with each and every recipient unlike a Luxurious Spa Wellness holiday. Thus, it is not a luxury treatment. What does it mean that we offer authentic Classical Panchakarma? Generally, it is understood that Panchakarma is authentic when it involves drinking of ghee for somedays followed by Vamana or Virechana, Basti, food regime and so on. Though, there are many other significant factors to be considered. At Moksha, the doctor will look at your different dimensions of health such as physical, mental, spiritual, sensorial, and emotional. Not only this but doctor will consider your age, health history, current health, habits, bio-energies, digestive fire, disease, its causes and stage, the place and extent of Ama (toxins/endotoxins) and so many other factors are to be considered before making decision for suitable treatments regimen and the best detox method.

Depending on the progress of Panchakarma treatments, you may experience several detoxes but all may not go for all five detox processes. Classically it undergoes all the five processes of detox. Other treatments will involve as per the detox processes are choosen and those treatments might be the combination of different kinds of internal & external oleation, fomentation using different traditional methods, use of natural herbs to remove the endotoxins deep seated in tissues to improve digestive fire. Regarding the food, diets during the Panchakarma will be very light, easily digestible which doesn’t obstruct micro channels. Your foods are prepared and supervised as per your health, need and your dosha. The spices are blended according to the person’s dosha.

Herbs and oils are the base of our treatment protocol. We make sure that the potency of all the herbs and oils used at Moksha are alive. All the herbs and oils are processed at Moksha safely and their purity is conserved as formulated and instructed by our doctor.

ARE THE THERAPISTS WELL-TRAINED FOR MY PANCHAKARMA TREATMENT?

Panchakarma treatment guidelines are prepared and supervised by the doctor. We have a team of experienced and knowledgeable therapists who have been serving at moksha since the incorporation. All of them are educated and well trained (theory & practical) by our medical team with sufficient duration of practices. Upon their achievement in the final exam they are awarded by allowing them to be involved in Panchakarma treatments under the supervision of our doctor.

PANCHAKARMA

Before Panchakarma: In order to add the benefit of the treatment from the very beginning, we would suggest eating light and easily digestible food one week before starting the treatment. This typical food may include rice, lentils, vegetables and fruits. We emphasize avoiding heavy, oily, deep fried, heavy spicy & hot, fast foods or processed foods.
During Panchakarma: We offer only balanced and organic vegetarian meals prepared healthily. Your foods & diets regimen are as guidelines prepared by the doctor considering your dosha, health and need. Those are sincerely monitored by our medical team and kitchen in-charge. We consider food as the first medicine and it is a significant input for our Body, Mind & Prana so you can freely rely on the way foods are prepared at Moksha. Moreover, different foods are considered for Panchakarma treatments and for treatments other than Panchakarma. We offer three meals & diets a day (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Besides, it is prohibited the use of alcohol and caffeine, as they dehydrate the body and interfere with the treatment goal.

Yes! We recommend sending your major health details & reports, if any, and objective to receive panchakarma. On the basis of your furnished information, the doctor will formulate the treatment for your available time.

If you are planning to travel and trek in the mountains of Nepal in addition to doing a Panchakarma, we recommend that you do the trek before. The intensive detoxifying processes will initiate the body’s natural healing process which would not end by the last day of course of treatments. Therefore, we recommend you not to go for an exhausting trek and travel afterward but to give space to comfort your way back to normal activities. Our doctor shall give you an idea about actual days depending on your case.
Since we offer authentic panchakarma, major dos and don’ts during the course of Panchakarma are informed by the doctor or medical team before beginning the panchakarma. We understand the significance of technology in our daily life but to add the benefit of treatments during the course of treatments, we would recommend you to avoid the excessive use of electronic gadgets. It will help in healing process.

Everybody is unique so the experience will be. Normally, every day different procedures will be taking place. In order to give you a general idea; early morning you will do the morning cleansing routine as instructed to you a day earlier to balance your sensorial health. At 7 AM you will enjoy doing Asana, Pranayama and Meditation followed by Neti Karma. Then enjoy having delicious vegetarian breakfast and rest for sometime in the terrace or in the dining hall enjoying being with yourself or reading books. Every day, Doctor follow up is done before starting the treatments. Treatments are mostly conducted in two sessions. Sometimes we will hold talks on Ayurveda & Foods, Yoga, or any questions that may arise in your mind. Before dinner you can be in meditation and then it is time to enjoy your dinner.
Somedays, you will have time to visit nearby attractions such as, ancient temples, monastery, world heritage sites, or the Nepalese tradition & cultures.

Consultation-Counseling

Yes, you can either bring all relevant medical records or email us prior to the visit.

Ayurveda medicines are made from natural ingredients such as herbs and minerals. If taken according to the instructions of an Ayurveda doctor, these medicines are safe and do not have any significant side effects.

To get a better idea about the patient’s condition, we utilize modern diagnostic methods like blood tests, scanning etc. If required, the patient will be sent to the nearest hospital for scanning.

We generally don’t advise to immediately discontinue Allopathic medicines if you are under treatment for any serious chronic illness. There is no harm in taking both types of medicines as long as you keep your Ayurveda doctor informed.

Accommodation

The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is the nearest airport to our center. Pick up and drop from/to TIA is included. Our staff will be waiting for you outside the arrival terminal with a play card with your name on it.

Once the booking is confirmed we will send you all the relevant information by Mail or WhatsApp.

Yes! You can have access to WiFi. Again, we would recommend not to indulge too much with outside media if you are receiving Panchakarma treatments.

Yes! We have a hybrid system of solar water heater and solar electricity for rooms.

RESERVATION and BOOKING

We recommend you to make booking as earlier as possible either for short or long range of treatments. For the short range of treatments (1 hour to 1 day) one or two days of advance booking is required.

Normally, there is a provision to get a visa upon arrival at the airport. You can apply for the visa in your country to the nearest visa consular office. We regret that Moksha is not able to refund your deposit directly to your account. However, the deposited sum can be applied either to other dates or it can be transferred to friends and family.

Yoga

Yes! and prior booking is required.

Yoga class is conducted everyday. However, one who is receiving Panchakarma treatments will not attend yoga class only on the days of intensive detoxification.

Yes! Depends on the duration of Yoga retreat consultation and different kinds of ayurvedic treatments are included.
